Programme

Rehearsals (17–20 December)
Students may join the rehearsal from the afternoon of 17 December upon arrival.
Exchange & Joint Performances with the MYO Hong Kong Youth Orchestra (18–19 December)
SPO Solo & Chamber Music Concert (20 December)
Exchange & Performance with the Hong Kong Music Office Youth Orchestra (20 December)

Eligibility & Registration Requirements

Who Can Apply: Open to both SPO members and non-members. Non-SPO applicants are required to submit an audition video.
Instruments: Strings and Woodwinds. (Brass and Piano students, please contact us for eligibility.)
Preparation: Music will be distributed 1–2 months before departure. Students are expected to prepare their parts independently before the tour.
Registration Policy: Cancellations are not permitted after 30th August 2026. Parents are responsible for accompanying students when arriving in and departing from Hong Kong. Please contact us in advance if you have any special circumstances.

Participation

International Travel: Families are responsible for arranging their own flights. All participants will meet in Hong Kong on 17th December 2026.
Local Transport: Coach transfers will be provided throughout 18–20 December. The designated meeting point is Tsim Sha Tsui.
Parent Arrangements: Parents are welcome to explore Hong Kong during the day and are not required to accompany students except during performances. Students should be dropped off and picked up at the designated bus meeting point each morning and evening. Parents are warmly invited to attend all performances and concerts.

Participation Fee:
- SPO Members: AUD $900 per person
- Non-SPO Members: AUD $1,200 per person
Fee Includes:
- Participation in all musical activities during the tour
- Performance attire
- Coach transfers during the tour for participating members (18–20 December only)
Fee Excludes:
- Flights, Accommodation and Meals
- Personal sightseeing expenses
- Tour accompany expenses if the student participate without a parent
- Instrument hire fees
- Additional accompanist or rehearsal fees (if required)
