STAR Students

                                  Hailing from Sydney, Australia, young violinist Laura Jin began learning the violin at the age of six and a half. At just seven years old, she performed at the SPO Annual Gala Concert held at the Sydney Opera House.​ At age eight she was admitted to the Juilliard School’s Pre-College division in New York.

 

Laura’s intrinsically musical, engaging, and dynamic performances have earned her numerous international competition awards, including top prizes at the Zhuhai Mozart International competition 2023, Louis Spohr 2022 and Leonid Kogan international competitions 2021.

March of 2024 Laura got the invitation of ” From the Top ” which is America’s largest national platform for young classically-trained musicians, to attend the recording with Orli Shaham. July of 2024 Laura attended the Morningside Music Bridge summer camp in Boston with the full scholarship as the youngest violist.

October of 2024 she was invited to attend the famous music event “Tiny Desk Concert” hold by NPR( American National Public Radio) , which is the top music program followed by 16 million viewers since 2008.

She has been a featured soloist with the New York Chamber Players Orchestra, Jena Philharmonic Orchestra of Germany, and the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of New York.
